Michael Joseph Jackson
Few days upon his death, I was listening to his hit singles in the car with dad. We were sing-a-long to his songs. He, then, asked me "Ehh, what happen to Michael Jackson? It's been quite some time he made headlines." "Oh, he's back on stage this coming July in London. He's making a comeback. But, according to him, this will be his last tour. Final curtain, he claimed." I replied. From there, we talked about his career, his life, the controversy surrounding him.
Few days later, Michael Jackson was pronounced dead to the whole world. It was all over the news. CNN, BBC, NST, The Star, Astro Awani, etc. I cried for two nights in a row. My dad was speechless. I grew up with his songs. We grew up listening to his songs, his famous moonwalk, his moves, his glittering gloves, his total make over, his controversies, his ups and downs. The list can go on and on for hours but no matter what, he was being himself. Deep down I can feel his genuinity in entertaining others. He was and is still the King of Pop nevertheless. No man can ever replace you. Yeah, not even Justin Timberlake! His songs, his voice, his videoclips.
Michael, I will always miss you.
Al-Fatihah.
